Funhike Kenya , the latest entrant into the fraternity of hiking groups in Nairobi, hit the ground running in late 2010 with a hike up the ever popular Ngong Hills, and had a blast all round. This group is a testament to the changing times and aspirations of the new generation of Kenyans tired of the same old pastimes, as they describe themselves on Facebook to be for all those who want to do something more fun than getting wasted in a bar.
Going by their growing membership which currently stands at 89, and the creative fun ideas they have planned for the coming months, this group is definitely going places, literally and figuratively. Membership is open to all, and their events are every second Saturday of the month. To get more details about their activities, visit their Facebook group Funhike Kenya. If you are not on Facebook, perhaps it’s time you signed up :).
